What Is Clinical Nutrition?
"Let food be your medicine and medicine be your food." - Hippocrates
Clinical Nutrition uses the relationship between food and health to get to the root cause of acute illness and chronic health conditions. A three-day food journal, symptom analysis and health history are the tools of any nutritional practitioner, but only a Clinical Nutritionist is able to use a clinical exam to dig deeper and fully individualize client health plans. Our Encino nutritionist and patient work together to formulate a realistic, sustainable plan that will ultimately bring the patient to optimal health.
No matter your personal or professional wellness goals, if you are willing to take charge of your health, Clinical Nutrition is right for you. Our Encino clinical nutritionist will identify the underlying cause(s) of your health concerns and equip you with the knowledge and support to improve your health.

Clinical Nutrition at Our Encino Office
Our team of practitioners and specialists at Atlas Health Care Center are dedicated to treating clients holistically and professionally. Our Encino Clinical Nutritionist, Lindsea Burns, draws from her extensive scientific background and study at University of California, Berkeley, where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelors in Nutritional Sciences. Courses such as biochemistry, medical nutrition therapy, nutrient function and metabolism, and metabolic bases for human health and disease, combined with rigorous clinical training from the Nutritional Therapy Association and professional experience provide Burns with all the tools she needs to be a successful Clinical Nutritionist.
As our Encino Clinical Nutritionist, Burns evaluates the underlying cause of her clients' concerns through a clinical exam and analysis of health history, food journals and deficiency symptoms. By educating her clients around traditional food practices and working with them to build a personalized health plan, she helps her clients create sustainable changes to achieve and maintain their wellness goals.
